Senior Band
Our Senior Band was formed in 1970, and is made up of our most experienced players. It performs at a wide variety of events, including formal concerts, summer fetes, flower shows, weddings, fayres, parades, birthday parties and carol services, as well as competing in the 4th section of the National Brass Band Championships.
The Senior Band plays all styles of music, from classical to pop, jazz to film, and modern to old.
The Senior Band is a very friendly group of players who all have a shared passion for making music. The band consists of a wide range of ages from 13 years up to 70+, including talented young players who have progressed up from our Youth Band, and “graduates” from our Academy Band, which is just fantastic!
There are no entry criteria to join the Senior Band, however we recommend you are at least grade 5 standard. (Players of up to grade 5 standard are very welcome at our Senior Academy).
We rehearse on Monday evenings 20:00 – 21:45
